About the 2022 1 Oz Lunar Tiger with Dragon Privy
The Lunar Tiger with Dragon Privy coins were made in celebration of the Chinese Lunar New year. 2022 marks the year of the tiger in the Chinese Lunar calendar, thus the design and name of the coin. The coin is made of 1 troy ounce of .9999 fine silver. Additionally, this is a limited edition coin with a mintage of only 30,000 pieces worldwide!
The reverse face of the lunar tiger with dragon privy coins displays the beautiful effigy of a tiger followed by its cub. The two are seen walking through rocky terrain, with ferns and bamboo around them. The dragon privy is found just above the tiger cub. The reverse face of the coin also displays the inscription “Tiger 2022” as well as the Chinese symbol for Tiger. The reverse face also includes The Perth Mint “P” mintmark.
The obverse face of the coin features the portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This beautiful effigy was designed by Jody Clarke. The design goes into incredible detail, including the Queen’s royal crown and jewels. The obverse face also includes the weight and purity of the coin, “1 Oz .9999 Ag” and the face value, “1 Dollar”. Above the effigy of the Queen, “Elizabeth II Australia” is inscribed.
