Description
A kangaroo and its joey are shown on the coin amid a scene of scrubland. The Perth Mint‘s ‘P’ mintmark and radial lines resembling the setting sun are used in the design.
The coin’s obverse, The Queen Elizabeth II Memorial, displays Her Majesty’s effigy by Jody Clark along with the years of her reign. The weight, purity, monetary value, and year 2023 are all shown on the coin’s obverse in addition to radial lines.
A micro-laser engraved letter that is part of the design on the back of each coin serves as a security element. It can only be seen with a magnifying glass.
