The 2022 1 oz Gold Maple coin tube consists of coins that pay an ode to Canada in all its beauty. It was launched in 1979 and quickly established itself as the world leader. From 1979 till 1982, the 1 oz Gold Maple coin was made with 0.999 pure gold.

The 2022 1 oz Gold Maple coin has an impeccable design printed on it. The obverse side of the coin features a carving of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Also engraved on the coin is the date ‘2022’ and the ‘50 dollars legal tender denomination. As for the reverse side, Walter Ott’sfamous maple leaf design is engraved on the coin the same as it used to be in 1979 when the first coin came out.
There is intricate detailing on the maple leaf design. It features textural details consisting of the veins running through the maple leaf’s lobes. Besides this, the words ‘FINE GOLD 1 OZ OR PUR’ and ‘CANADA’ are also etched on the reverse side. The 1 oz Gold Maple Leaf coins come with added security features introduced in 2013 and 2015.
Certainly, the first one is a small maple leaf inscribed through a laser behind the larger motif on the coin’s reverse side. The other security feature is counterfeiting. A system of light diffracting lines was embedded on both sides of the coin to set it apart.
