Furthermore, the 2017 Canadian Silver Bison Coin features wood bison, which is more common throughout Canada than the plains bison. On one side, this commemorative coin portrays an iconic bison as if viewed in three dimensions. Also, you’ll see the sky, grasslands, and that dramatic side-eye since that bison fiercely stares you down. In 2018 and 2019, the final two coins in the series had the buffalo’s head from the side and the front on the coin’s reverse.

While on the obverse of the coin is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in the right profile from Susanna Blunt, along with engravings that read “Elizabeth II” and the coin’s face value.
