The Perth Mint is very excited to release another coin to the highly popular Gods of Olympus series! This series is in association with the Island Nation of Tuvalu. This 2022 Hera Gods of Olympus contains .9999 fine silver and weighs 1 troy ounce. Moreover, collectors believe this coin to be genuinely worthy of the legacy of the official series. 

In Greek mythology, Hera was worshiped as the Goddess of Women; moreover, she was also the queen of Olympians.  In 2014-2015, the Perth Mint released two silver coins named the Gods of Olympus; the 1st collection featured three male goddesses from ancient Greece. In 2015, the series featured well-known goddesses from Olympus, i.e., Athena, Aphrodite, and Hera. Moreover, in 2020, the mint launched various deities in a broader range of blanks. 

The obverse side of the coin features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II from Ian Rank-Broadley. Her image is encircled by the following inscriptions: “QUEEN ELIZABETH II,” issuing country and year “TUVALU 2022”, along with weight and purity “1 OZ 9999”. 

The coin’s reverse side features Hera wearing a polo crown, and sitting on the throne. Moreover, she is seen holding her lotus staff in her left hand. Additionally, a lion is seated on the right side of the throne, while a peacock is standing on her left side. Furthermore, the design also includes the inscription of “HERA” and the mint mark “P.”
