In 2014, Perth Mint issued the Australia Wedge-Tailed Eagle series in various precious metal formats. The wedge-tailed eagle is Australia’s most giant bird of prey, and this series is Perth Mint’s best-selling coin.

The obverse side of the coin features the Crowned old head of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, wearing a diamond crown, and the Victoria necklace is worn for her Coronation. Along with this, the picture is encircled by the monarch “ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA” and the face value “1 DOLLAR”.

The coin’s reverse side features a dramatic image of a diving wedge-tailed eagle with a snake in its claws. Around above, “AUSTRALIA WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE” is engraved.  Around below, the precious metal content “2021 1 oz .9999 SILVER” and the date of issue is engraved. Along with this, the “P” Perth Mint’s mark is also in the rim on the left, and the snake’s tail designer’s JM is engraved.
