About the 2022 1 Oz American Silver Eagle Coin tube
The American Silver Eagle celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2021. In celebration, they had a dual release, making the 2022 edition the 37th. The coin series was first released back in 1986 by the US Mint and has continued to be incredibly popular. The US Mint followed its traditional production pattern throughout the years, with a new design for each edition. The 2022 American Eagles coin contains 1 troy ounce of .999 pure silver, with an all-new design.
The reverse face of the coin displays the soaring bald eagle. As the bald eagle is soaring in flight, it clutches a large oak branch in its talons. This effigy is the second issue of the new soaring bald eagle. The incredible details in the design were captured by Emily Damstra. In addition to the effigy of the bald eagle, the words “United States Of America One Dollar 1 Oz Fine Silver” is inscribed. The coins have a one-dollar face value. Lastly, the inscription “E Pluribus Unum” is also found on the reverse face. The phrase is Latin for “Out of many, one” and is a traditional motto of the United States.
The coin’s obverse face displays the stunning effigy of the Walking Liberty. Liberty’s full-length figure is displayed. She is walking toward the sun on the horizon, with her right hand extended toward the sun. She carries branches of oak and laurel in her left hand. This image was designed in 1916 and shows her left profile.
